Gilmerton Singing Group

Once again it has been a very successful and enjoyable term. We are going into community singing and I am sure we are more confident and have so far always been asked to give a return performance.

The ages of the Singers range from twenty plus to seventy plus and despite the age difference we all get on very well together. Every week there is a good attendance. We all enjoy the singing as much! We sing a great variety of songs and are introducing new songs all the time. We have to thank our tutor Deirdre McMahon for teaching us how to sing together, with good humour.

‘Come all Ye' at Gilmerton Community Centre on 29th June was a great success. We are looking forward to singing at the South Edinburgh Celebration Day on 11th August. This should be a great day, hopefully the weather will be good.
