Gilmerton bowlers strike again

Gilmerton Bowling Club played at the District Finals for the Scottish Championship at Easthouses Bowling Club last month and came away on top of the world.

Steven Currie (Under 25Ős) held off last year's reigning champion Bob Campbell to win 21-17 and the home guard - Harry Ewing, Jimmy Tierney, J.C. Smith and Ron Abrahams won comfortably over Shottstown.

Best wishes go to John (Chips) O'Malley who won the Scottish District single hand. Good luck at Ayr, lads. W. Byass
