A Warrior tank parked in Princes Street, provided the unusual platform for a charity cheque presentation. Sergeant Major Snedden, of the Army's Scottish Division Recruitment Team, who raised £2000 towards the new Edinburgh Erskine Home in Gilmerton, made the presentation to Colonel Gibson, Chief Executive of Erskine Hospital.

Colonel Gibson said: 'On top of a tank has to be the most unusual place I have ever received a donation to the Hospital - particularly one parked in Princes Street.'
