Singing our songs
Gilmerton Singing Group recently took part in Newbattle Abbey College's heritage weekend. The group, who are based in Gilmerton Community Centre, sang on the Friday evening to students and other
visitors. So successful, they were asked to perform at the college for a party of American visitors who were studying Scottish clans and visiting historical places of
interest. The Americans had asked the college if they could arrange to have Scottish songs and singers and Gilmerton Singing Group were happy to oblige. A happy evening was had by
all. The Singing Group has been very active and are busy preparing for their very own
'Come all Ye' in Gilmerton Community Centre on 29 June at 7.00pm. All welcome to come along, join in and have a sing-song with the Gilmerton group and other invited groups.
