Health matters in South
Edinburgh
We want to hear what you think about your local health service. Did you know that the way health services are organised has been changing?
Over the past two years doctors’ practices have been working together to look at ways to improve and develop the services that they and others in the community provide. Together they form organisations called local health care co-operatives (LHCC). The LHCCs enable doctors, nurses and other services such as physiotherapy, social work and community projects to share their experiences and work better together to try to help people’s health by planning and improving services for
you.
Some new services have already been introduced in South East Edinburgh, such as extra physiotherapy and extra nursing. It is you, the users of health services, that can tell us if services have improved. We want to hear from everyone in the South East LHCC, whether you are a patient, a well person, a health worker or community worker. For example what are the good and not-so-good things you experience in the health service, what services do you think are missing, how would you change things, what do you feel are the important
issues?
