A fond farewell

Nursery, school and former pupils of Prestonfield Nursery joined parents and teachers recently to give Sheen Hall a send off worthy of a Queen!

Sheena was retiring after over 25 years in the nursery class to catch up on some sleep and spend time with her grandchildren.

Flowers, bottles of bubbly and other lovely gifts were given by all and sundry  to show their appreciation of her hard work and commitment over the years.

It has not all been about Mrs Hall teaching children though!  She admitted that she had learned quite a few things from her charges.  "One little lad had on a badge from a birthday card" she told us "I asked him what it said - he looked at me as if I was daft and said: 'I don't know it can't speak!'".

One final special gift from colleagues at Prestonfield School was waiting for Mrs Hall as she left for the day.  A chauffeur driven white stretch limo.

A handsome uniformed chauffeur drove around the scheme and took her home.  A big change from getting the bus which she has done every day for 25 years!

All staff, pupils and parents would like to wish you the very best of luck and best wishes for your retirement.
