Local Learning Fund
The South Edinburgh
Social Inclusion Partnership would like to invite applications from
individuals who require financial assistance with costs associated with
further education, educational studies and training courses.
The Partnership can
award small grants of up to a maximum of £300 to help ease the
financial burden sometimes incurred with costs of education and
training.
Financial assistance can
be provided to assist with costs of course equipment (e.g. specialist
knives/ overalls etc for catering courses, scissors etc for
hairdressing) course books, transport (we can assist with the purchase
of monthly bus passes) and childcare costs.
The closing date for
applications for this coming round of grant awards is Wednesday 8 August
2001. All applications received by this date will be considered by the
Partnership’s Local Learning Fund Panel on Wednesday 15 August 2001.
Applicants will be
informed of the outcome of their applications following this date.
