Self help and support

Have you lost a loved one or someone close to you? Would you welcome the opportunity to meet and talk with others who have experienced bereavement?

A FREE "DROP IN" group at 30 Ravenscroft Place Community Centre is available. You can enjoy a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with refreshments.

The FREE services of Health Professionals and a Trained Counsellor are also available in a small group setting on a Wednesday afternoon.

To book a place for this or for further details of the "DROP IN" group Phone: 664 0174 / 672 3462.

Our aim is to empower local people towards a self help bereavement support group in the Gilmerton area. To date we have had two very successful bereavement support groups, both of which had positive feedback.

We also have a "Drop In" group every last Friday of the month in Ravenscroft Community Centre. This gives people the opportunity to relax and chat over a cup of tea. Friday 2pm - 3.30pm 27th July & 24th Aug 2001.

We welcome new volunteers who would like to join the management group, or have counselling skills.
