We’ll take an easy route along Newtoft Street to the crossroads at Captains Road and Lasswade Road, then turn right into Lasswade Road - entering the Carnival Ground at Kaimes Special School.

Look out for the surprise performers along the way!

Throughout the summer, there has been a busy arts activities programme leading up to the Carnival and we are now in the final stages of completing all costumes, puppets and creative characters for the colourful procession. Pictured (left) are some of the colourful banners which will be on display on the day.

We would like to invite you to join in too!

Why not enter into one of the categories below and win a prize? Just fill in the entry form and send it back to the South Edinburgh Partnership, 13 Newtoft Street, Edinburgh EH17 8RG by August 3rd and we’ll be in touch with more information.

Prizes will be awarded for the best dressed and decorated:

  • Scooter

  • Pram

  • Wheelchair

  • Bike

and special prizes will be awarded for the:

  • Most imaginative wheels of any form

  • The Best Carnival Costume

PLEASE NOTE: there will be no motorised vehicles in the procession other than by arrangement with the organisers.
